As part of Responsible Gaming Education Week, Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has announced that it will join many other gambling operators in supporting the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) new “Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly.” public service campaign.
At the heart of the AGA’s campaign is a focus on helping sports fans avoid problem gambling by educating them about what the association calls the core principles of responsible sports betting. Among other things, the campaign strongly encourages wagering fans to set a strict budget before placing bets and to gamble only with regulated sports betting operators.
For their effort in the campaign, RSI will begin including the Have A Game Plan content in its consumer marketing materials, employee training regimen, and its overall responsible gaming strategy.
Tammi Barlow, RSI’s new director of corporate social responsibility said, “Responsible gaming is at the core of our business and joining AGA’s Have A Game Plan campaign is an important extension of these efforts.
“It is crucial that our industry prioritizes the protection of those who are vulnerable to gambling problems and others affected by their behavior. Through this partnership with AGA, we will continue to provide our players with new, user-friendly tools and resources to wager responsibly, while ensuring our employees are positioned to provide the best possible customer service and care.”
Consistent Growth In Campaign Support
MGM Resorts and BetMGM also recently threw their support behind the AGA campaign.
The AGA has also been successful in securing backing from major sports properties including the popular mixed martial arts Ultimate Fighting Championship, the PGA Tour, Nascar, and the National Hockey League.
Casey Clark, a senior vice president at the AGA, said, “As legal sports betting increases in popularity and availability, the success of the industry relies heavily on educating players about responsible gaming. We’re proud to have Rush Street Interactive join us in this important endeavor.”
Rush Street Interactive is the company behind BetRivers.
